On 27 January each year Holocaust Memorial Day provides an opportunity for everyone to learn lessons from the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides and apply them to the present day to create a safer, better future. http://hmd.org.uk 

Derbyshire County Council, Derbyshire Constabulary and our partners are pleased to invite you to mark Holocaust Memorial 2012 over the next fortnight. 

We hope that you will find the time to join us for these events happening between 21 and 27 January 2012. The theme of the programme is Speak Up, Speak Out.

Derbyshire County Council is working with Derbyshire Constabulary to make Holocaust Memorial Day 2012 have the greatest impact possible by involving Derbyshire children and young people and communities in creative ways.
