So, what can volunteering with Derbyshire Friend and Rainbow Vision offer you?
Quite simply, it is a rewarding opportunity to give something back to the LGB&T community. But did you know about the other benefits that volunteering can offer you?
- We offer excellent training packages to all of our volunteers. This is tailored to your role and includes accredited courses.
- We offer flexible times – you can give as much or as little time as you want to. We also refund any out-of-pocket expenses for travel and meal costs.
- Volunteering can help with future job prospects and is a valuable thing to be able to add to your CV. Also, at Derbyshire Friend, we have experienced staff who can help you with CVs and job skills if you are looking for paid work.
- You will get to meet a broad and diverse range of people. You will also have the chance to engage with some of the nicest people in the East Midlands!
- Each of our volunteering roles gives you the chance to develop new skills and to build on skills that you already have.
- We offer support to each and every one of our volunteers through our dedicated volunteer co-ordinator who will support you through your induction, training and throughout your time as a volunteer at Derbyshire Friend.
